Raul was awarded the CareerReady Scholarship聽when he was a 2018 high school senior at AAMA Sanchez Charter School. Through聽CareerReady, Raul was able to complete the A+ IT program at Houston 羞羞视频 College. With the help of his Life Coach, Raul created his resume and started applying for jobs. It was difficult to find a job he was eligible for because he had no work experience. To give him hands-on work experience, 羞羞视频 created an entry level apprenticeship called CareerReady 2.0 in their IT department. This work experience gave Raul the opportunity to shine and improve his skill set. The mentorship he received from his supervisors motivated him to go back to school and further his education. The conversation was specifically designed to address concerns among Asian and Hispanic communities and was moderated by Houston Chronicle reporter Gwendolyn Wu. Panelists described their confidence in the COVID-19 vaccines while discussing unique needs among Asian and Hispanic families and neighborhoods. More than 4,000 people have viewed the livestream.
